Arcturus
Arcturus is neighborhood of single-family homes located within the Fort Hunt community in the Mount Vernon district of Fairfax County. With traditional and colonial style homes, condos, and townhomes, this area has plenty to offer to families and singles. Arcturus has the convenience of The Potomac River, George Washington Memorial Parkway, and Fort Hunt Park.
Most of the homes in Arcturus were built in the 1950s-1960s and range from a colonial style to that of a rambler. They offer spacious plots and room to breathe. The nearby Potomac River is a perfect neighbor and residents enjoy the many parks in the area. Today, Arcturus has few fishing shacks like it did years ago, but several harbors can still be found in and around the community. Fort Hunt Park is convenient and located about 11 miles from our nation’s capital. Through history the park has been used for World War II operations, a farm, and now a park to picnic.
Mass Transit is well-developed and accessible from Arcturus. The nearby Huntington Metro has 4500 parking spaces and is within walking distance of many local neighborhoods.
